Champions

After a tremendous season Supermarine B, captained by Jerry Kemble-Young, are the winners of the Swindon & District evening rinks Division 2. Well done to all the bowlers invovled throughout the season.

Well done ladies

Supermarine Ladies, Nicki, Susan, Ann and Cheryl were proud to receive their Bowls England badges at the National Championship Finals held at Leamington. Representing Wiltshire they played a spirited game against Middlesex but, unfortunately, came second losing 12-17. Nevertheless, a great achievement to reach the finals.

Outstanding achievement by Supermarine bowler, Nicki Kemble-Young who has qualified for the National Finals Ladies singles to be played at Leamington on Sunday 20th August. We wish her all the best and it would be great to see members cheering her on to success in the final.

Congratulations to John-Luke Morgan who recently represented Disability Bowls England in a trial match at Chesham Broadway BC. Stuart Weston (President) presented a cheque for £650 to Emma Coates from Prospect Hospice. This was the amount raised from the annual Memorial Day tournament hosted by Supermarine Bowls Club. Congratulations

Congratulations go to Nicki Kemble-Young on being selected for the BWL Walker Cup Squad, playing Worcestershire this Sunday. Eight will play (2×4’s) from a squad of 12 players. Goodluck Nicki.

President triumphs

On Sunday 14th May, a competitive game between teams representing the President and the Captain resulted in a draw. The President (Stuart Weston) and Captain (Mick Kilburn) bowled a one end pay off with Stuart ending up the winner.
