INDOOR MATCH
A great start to the season or a fine finish? Supermarine played an indoor game with Swindon Manor IBC recently. They won on three rinks and drawing the other. Overall score 84 – 47.
Swindon Sports Forum
We are pleased to receive a cheque for £750 to help with the cost of repair to vital equipment from Swindon Sports Forum. Sue Gravell, SSF Treasurer is handing the grant to Chair of the Club Tony Kilburn.
Pre-Season Meeting
We are looking forward to seeing existing and new members at the Club house on 11th March 2023 for our Pre-Season meeting.
S&D Finals
We had two representative teams at this year’s S&D Finals.The mixed foursome of Nicki, Kevin H, Richard and Susan won the Mixed Rink.The mixed triple of Kevin M, Marilyn and John (JR) were unlucky in the Mixed Triple Final.
Memorial day
This year’s gala, which was held on 26th June, saw invited mixed teams of four bowlers made up from Swindon Northend, Shrivenham, Westend, Haydon Wick, Stratton Churchways, Purton, Highworth and Supermarine bowls club, compete for the Friendship Trophy. The KINGS v QUEENS Platinum Jubilee match, in place of the friendly with Amesbury, took place on Sunday. Four triples battled it out, with the KINGS coming out on top 72 – 61.
