It is a great pleasure to report that three of our lady members have been selected for the squad to represent the County in the John’s Trophy. This is an Inter-County round-robin league where Wiltshire will be playing against Somerset, Dorset and Cornwall. Should Wiltshire top the league table they will then go on to the Knockout stages of the competition against other South West Counties.
After attending three trials with ladies from the majority of the 40 clubs in Wiltshire, and with only 28 ladies required for the squad, Ann Andrews, Nicki Kemble-Young and Susan Griffiths have been selected. The first game is on Sat 1st June at Devizes where both Ann and Nicki will be Leads with Susan a reserve. This is not only an honour for the three ladies but also for the Supermarine club itself.
